Why this works, because of the shadow on the floor. Having shots of just the legs is usually grounds for bad composition in my opinion. However, the fact that the shadow is so well formed and placed really makes the shot work, it in a sense is the subject. Wonderful lighting and lines. A very nicely composed and seen shot.

They would have been so crazy if they had voted this down. Not that I haven't accused them of such in my day. . .but surely no one would vote this one down. It is so artistic. The lights and shadows are amazing. I also love the lines of the planes zooming overhead in the sky.

Yes! I like this one very much too! There's something about capturing a mirror reflection that just makes a photo more beautiful -- or in this case more artistic. What's striking about this too is the great range of blacks and whites. It makes everything pop so well!

Dang!! You did a great job on this! I find it so interesting, and the tone mapping gave it such a rich old look. If I had voted on this challenge, I know I would have voted this photo a 9 or 8 minimum! Probably a 10 because of how interesting it looks and how the more I look at it the more I like it!
