SP Day 11by MelethiaComment by JuliBoc: This is so beautiful. It should be hanging in a large gold frame in your dining or living room. Or maybe in the White House. ; ) |

Wall with roseby MelethiaComment by klstover: Beaaaaaaaaaaautifull!!!!!!!! Love the composition and the way the lighting seems perfectly suited to interact with all the other elements in the shot. The shadows seem like elements of their own, which is really neat to see. Only thing I might suggest is to remove the things in the window.. my eye keeps going there to see what it is. Other than that this is perfect. I'd probably give this a 10 in a free study. |

Vase-like object thingieby MelethiaComment by klstover: The background and the box looking thing blend together just a tad bit too much for my tastes. I would not mind as much if the rest of the image did not present a hugely wonderful "textures!" feel. It just seems that the blending on the left side does not match the awesome textures of the rest of the shot. Composition is really awesome. I like the shadow under the bottom circle. Gives it more of a 3-D feel than I think it would have otherwise.
The image overall makes me feel like the "vase-like object thingie" is alive or magical. ... so okay. I just now checked out the empty room challenge, because I wanted to see the object in a different context. And WOW did you do a FANTASTIC job at adding mystery and power to something that I might not have looked twice at if photographed differently. Great job!!! |
