Oasisby MelethiaComment by SandyP: I am so glad you have this comfort from home where you are. Sometimes I feel if I can just have a Starbucks, all will be well with the world no matter what is going on around me. I really like that high key bright area. It reminds me of light and sunshine. I love that he's dressed in his cammy's too. I really like this photo alot! I'm glad you entered it!

Oasisby MelethiaComment by colorcarnival: I was kind of wondering if this was you, but then I didn't see any beach, so figured - not Deb!
I am amazed that they have a Starbucks there. How interesting and wonderful for you guys. I like the lighting you captured on the shelves there. |

Desert zenby MelethiaComment by JuliBoc: I think the shallow DOF gives this a feel of heat rising from the desert. Leave it to you to find the beauty in a barren space. |

Desert zenby MelethiaComment by Jutilda: I always love a great narrow DOF image and this is especially a treat. It offers a different view than what I'd normally see (like a flower or a fern). I love the shadow play and how the focus goes from blur to sharp to blur from front to back. Nice work. The title is really appropriate. |

Chairsby MelethiaComment by alfresco: Unfortunately you're probably right about the vote dumb voters would give - I really like this shot Deb, lots of good eye movement going on! This is a winner in any winners book! :) |

Desert zenby MelethiaComment by Germaine: Hmmmm. I'm not crazy about the blur in the foreground, but I really like that rock with the "dried" thingy next to it. Actually, I think if you brought the thorny branch into sharp focus, you could use it to partially frame the rock and have an interesting composition. This advise is worth exactly what you paid for it. |
