This shot is awesome! Of course it's perfect in b&w and I love the contrast but most of all I love that it tells a story - gives me the slightest little glimpse into the lives of folks in an unfamiliar situation being able to enjoy a little smidgeon of the familiar. I even like that the light coming in the windows obliterates any details of the outside world - hopefully this place serves to do that for these soldiers - even if just for a minute. Very nice. Adding to favorites.

Great documentary sort of shot with attractive color tones - I can feel the dust. Love the gradient in the sky. Excellent score too - you seem to be rackin' 'em up these days sister!

As far as being the only one who likes it - I'll have you know I have a ribbon winning shot with fewer favorites than you have on this one! : ) What a yucky place to have to stay but this shot is a cool way to immortalize it. I hope you weren't alone. : (
