A very good photo. At first, I found the motion of the hand quite disturbing, but now I've got used to it, so it's OK, I guess. Add to it the tension of this man's face, which I still want to be without the slight blur, and I realize that something important is going on.
A comment about the title: I don't like how the old is defined based on the new, because the new will be old, and the old was new before. So, by reading the title, the new is drawn into the picture, where it doesn't belong. This image is a nice presentation of something old, where old is defined by my experience - I hope "my" will include other DPC viewers as well.

Still, a very nice presentation that refreshes the memories from history lessons at school. In a perfect world, that quite modern NHT design would be some banner for the next weeks demonstrations. Over all, I loved the bottles and the details of the machine, bolts and the arch shapes.

I like the feather detail on this but I prefer the uncropped composition. You want to give your S-curves a chance to finish unfurling out of the frame.
