Catching the trainby MelethiaComment by SandyP: Deb! This photo TOTALLY kicks butt!!! I love the perfectly blurred person -- but the way that tunnel escapes from all that red. Whoa! Those overlay geniuses got nothin' on you!!! :)

The Bread Guyby MelethiaComment by glad2badad: This is a fun take on the challenge. The comp is good. Only thing holding this down for me a little is the lighting; it's not quite balanced. The bg area of bread is nearly overexposed, and the guy could use a touch of fill flash IMO. Still, a nice effort. Good luck in the challenge. |

6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by Alicia: After clicking between the two versions for a while I feel this one has a lot more going for it.
The lighter version is nice, but except for the dandy shadows, not exceptional. In this one here, the stark contrast, the obscured man, and the sharp shadows make it very arty and edgy. Love it. |

Smoking squareby MelethiaComment by Alicia: OMG - that's a riot!! I haven't been in Germland since 1991, and so I'm sure there are quite a few changes - the smoking restrictions being one of them. I have to say, that is so very German to put a yellow square on pavement and expect people to stand in it to smoke - and even more German that they do. I'll have to tell my mom about this - since I grew up in Germany, she lived there, too - though not as long as I did. |

Won't sit stillby MelethiaComment by Alicia: Love this, Deb! The abstract/blur/high-key - totally awesome effect. This would look good on a wall. |

6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by colorcarnival: I think if you were going to do any editing, I would just consider highlighting the man so his darkness does not blend in with the trees. I love the dark trees and shadows. Looks almost like artwork on the ground. |
