I love your description. I'd would not sniff any plugins or actions that Slippy gives you, however. This didn't come up for me in voting though I would have likely 5'd it. Not sure. Maybe there is just a lot else going on in the frame that draws me away from the parallel stairs as the subject. There's also a slight curvature to the upper level of the stairs that (for me) interferes with the impact of the straight lines.

I think this was a tough challenge to shoot for. A lot of folks did like yourself and shot architecture to convey the math used, or the geometric shapes.

Beautiful contrast and geometry. The biggest challenge producing images like this one (in my opinion) is the framing/crop. Rotating just a few degrees can make or break a shot like this. Obviously you framed this to excellent effect.

Great symmetry (though it "feels" slightly unlevel), and excellent display of color. The doors aren't really primary here, so probably good a choice not to have entered it.

I love the gemoetry of this. Everything in the shot contributes to it, with no extraneous distractions. Curious as heck, though, to know why you didn't process this in black and white. (That said, the subtle colors do give it some added dimension.)

I prefer this version over the re-edit; the darker tones add a bit of mystery to the overall effect. That guy must sure have been digging that novel to not even notice you were there taking his photo.
