Long linear shots like this are difficult to capture properly and the author has done well to handle both the concept and lighting properly and very effectively. The highlights are right on the edge, but the conversion to black and white more than make up for it. A great demonstration of how space is properly handled giving a sense of dimension and unusually time. Very well done - a potential top ten image and ribbon winner.

i see a photograph like this and your other amazing street photography and i imagine you standing there taking the shot .. i get quite self conscious in public, depending on my mood .. if i'm feeling up, then i seem to have the confidence to take a photograph in a public place like this, in fact i enjoy it .. but if i'm down its impossible .. anyhoooooo .. you have a great flair for candids .. there's one in 1x that's totally brilliant ..

I was looking for a cool candid like this today. I seriously had an image in my mind that looked something like this. I have no idea WHAT I could have possibly been thinking. We went to an art fair at Fiesta! As IF there would be 6 inches of negative space anywhere without mobs of people in it. People doing nothing more interesting than sucking down beer and eating messy things on sticks.

I still marvel at this, and still have the little pc sized print you sent where I can see it every day. And now, reading carefully your comments, I marvel too at how wrong you were. I am beginning to think also that the dpc experience/exercise is not so much for "advancement" as for deepening into what it is one wants to do with one's camera, intensifying one's acumen.
