Aspen Grove, Winter Morningby Bear_MusicComment by Denielle: I really love these winter shots. And this photo reminds me of one particular spot in Oklahoma. The trees were all planted by prisoners, in a perfectly straight line... so no matter where you stood in the midst of it all, you could see a straight path. It was rumored that the woods there were haunted, though I never went there at night (what a pity). Beautifully composed and processed. Love the sunlight peeking through the trees. The sharpness is right on. And the photo is wonderful! |

The FlipFlop Manby Bear_MusicComment by jomari: I gave you a 7 for this, but it was quirky and intriguing and I had to come looking for the back story. I never connected the kitteh in the giant flipflop with this one, but how many giant flipflops would there be? |

The FlipFlop Manby Bear_MusicComment by EL-ROI: Nice to see who the shooter was on this shot. I was tempted to ask for validation, but I didn't. I thought the flip flop might have been a separate photo and cloned into the shot as a layer. I thought this due to the processing. It was the highlights on the person's arms and legs and the shadow cast by the shoe that made me think the light was a little different on each item. I ended up voting a 7! Up the Creekby Bear_MusicComment by Denielle: Love this shot. The earth tone colors, the DOF, the extra sharp appearance. Wonderful job. Also, the glimpse of the creek is one of the things that really stand out, making the picture that much better. Without it, "up the creek" wouldn't have been AS fitting. But it's a perfect euphemism for this shot. Beautiful! 9 |

Up the Creekby Bear_MusicComment by Jutilda: I love that little hint of blue water tying in with the blue tones of his wings and head. Nice composition. |
