you know bear, i keep coming back to this winning photo of yours - not a norm for me (in the exception of JJBeguin's self-potrait). I was thinking of something for the Textures IV challenge and was thinking - this "Flood Tide & Cattails — Sunset" could have been a hell lot better looking if allowed the 720pixels and 200kb requirements.

Congrats once again on this wonderful photo and the ribbon - Just goes to prove yet again how good you are with landscapes (I'm jealous!)

This has nice line quality to it also, diagonals, north shore line both sides of the inlet and the path. Complimentary lines, nice points on the fences, those in the foreground and the first inlet north side, where the water and sand meet and the small rolling hills along the horizon.

Things that I think, I would change...the sky has no really points of interest and the little eye distraction at the top left. Colors are fair but that's all in your taste.

This is my first real critique and I need to practice on someone and I thought you would take it better :-)

I guess this would be considered an 'estuary'? haha! This is a marvelous photo that is totally deserving of top honors, and is an inspirational masterpiece that gives me hope of someday capturing its equal.

Your photo (as described by many & the rating) is Amazing! I'm sure that the moment you captured this vista must have been equally amazing.
The LORD is kind in that way. He gives us a one-of-a-kind original painting every evening, then takes pride in His highest creation enhancing His daily painting with unique personality!
