Jim Talin, Master Bookbinderby Bear_MusicComment by hideout: Very unusual talent to photograph, I really like the set-up and the easy expression of the model. Only part that bothers me are the hands, it looks like he is holding a tool but on first glance thought it was a big funny thumb and the lower hand maybe should stay postioned behind the table. 7 |

Lateral Displacementby Bear_MusicComment by posthumous: I for one appreciate the grain. I'm sure you're taking a hit for it. I'm taking a huge hit for my blur effect. This is an example of a gimmick that is so good it transforms into art. I feel like I am both standing outside of you and standing inside your camera at the same time. In fact, I also feel like I'm standing in your moccasins. |

Lateral Displacementby Bear_MusicComment by gusto: I enjoy this shot especially with all the noise. Here is another great example of when noise is an attribute. Another note, this shot does quite well capturing its subject without looking posed. 8 |

Jim Talin, Master Bookbinderby Bear_MusicComment by Sammie: Very excellent environmental portrait, it shows the man very well and also what he does without overwhelming him. I think it might look good with more of the bottom cropped off as well - so you couldn't see his hand hanging under the table. |
