This is just as good as a posed picture, though very obviously a candid shot. Though not allowed for this challenge, I would recommend either 1) editing out the light on the far arm, or 2) duplicating it in various places over the black background and then, in either scenario, frame it!

Good thing the nostrils were clean :-)

thanks for all of the comments - i really appreciate them. i was extremely happy with my score and placement in this challenge.

to respond to a few thoughts:

- i did take shots using perspective and trying to capture the painting at different angles, but i didn't like how it looked. my camera wasn't able to capture a good, crisp image at an angle. i used this shot because i liked the level of detail that was captured from the canvas.

- would have liked to have used two colors, yeah. but i had to work with what i had. i took pictures of a lot of my recent paintings and this was the one that i really fell in love with because of the big gloop of paint in the middle. other shots that i took of the other paintings jusdt didn't have the same feel or detail.

but thanks again for all of the comments. i do appreciate them!
