Red-belliedWoodpeckerby eqsiteComment by hahn23: It's a beauty. I agree this is a Red-bellied WP, Melanerpes carolinas. Not the "Northern" subspecies. Looks to be "South Florida". Can't see enough to tell male or female. Great job. |

Funny - this is basically straight out of the camera, just a light curves adjustment and some sharpening. It was wet so that may have made the colors pop a bit. |
