Brassica oleraceaby DigiFotoBuddyComment by Melethia: Abstract as I perceive abstract? Yes
Do I like it? It's a bit too centered for my taste, I think.
Technicals? A bit weak - I'd expect the focus to be very sharp for a flat cut like this, and the contrast is a bit flat to me. |

Brassica oleraceaby DigiFotoBuddyComment by L2: Good job meeting challenge. Colors don't pop as much as they could, though, maybe adjust the white balance for a wider tonal range? |

Brassica oleraceaby DigiFotoBuddyComment by KarenNfld: I'm giving this an 8. If the focus were a little bit shaprer, the lighting a bit brighter and the colours saturated a bit more it would be a 10. |

B/W Portrait (Straight from Camera)by DigiFotoBuddyComment by dsidwell: Hi Shailesh,
Greetings from the Critique Club!
Congratulations on a very nice photo. I see here a lovely girl in a flamboyant pose that still looks natural. it is full of life and joy and it makes me happy to just look at it!
The cropping is also effective, for it gets us close enough to see her face and eyes clearly, but is far enough away to capture the cute pose. I also like the amounts of dark and light tones and how they build the photo. The background is intriquing and adds to the photo considerably.
I suppose my biggest question is "why blue?" I'm not sure the blue tone adds any personality or mood to the shot, so I just wonder why it's there. Perhaps if she were sad?
Anyway, nice shot and thanks for the opportunity!
David
