This reminded me soooo much of my grandmother....... She was deathly afraid of snakes. Once when I was visiting she came in from the garden and said she had seen a snake in the shed and had chopped it's head off with the hoe. Being a curious child, I wanted to see. The poor little sanke was about the same diameter as this pencil and in approximately the same number of pieces......Thanks for the memory.

I like it. The idea is fun. good compositio though a bit yellow... maybe a dark background could've worked and finally, did you try to focus on the eraser?
