stillnessby LevTComment by Love6: AMAZING high-contrast study= it looks painted; and I love it! great job!! I look forward to seeing your notes on this! :-) interesting profile, nice choice of foreground/background; the reflections create interesting arrows and the profile does the same... it just =fits together= so nicely! Kudos and compliments on a great shot! :-) |

stillnessby LevTComment by blindjustice: Well; its a great composition, and there is certainly excellent lighting. The boy may be a bit too close to the center for comfort; the eye ends up settling in on the boy, soaking in the light, and then falling right off of the left side of the frame; there is so much movement in the shot that you can't think stillness- and maybe that contrast works- but, to illustrate what I am saying, even the shadows off the rocks in the water make arrows that force the eye to look where the boy is looking. I really like how his body is facing backwards but he is looking forwards, perhaps looking down might have held the eye in the frame;
Nevertheless; despite my rambling; its a great shot with excellent execution and tremendous feel/ |

all aboardby LevTComment by ErinM: That overlay works really well. Kind of feels like looking out a dirty porthole of another ship. Hey, next time jump in sooner. I'd love to see more of your work in one of these side challenges. :) |
