I remember this photo from way back and liked it then. I see grad students, consumed in their work but time for each other. I mean look at the size of that giant cup of coffee she has, and straws for two. :)

I like the idea. I would probably have cropped off on the left to get rid of the cut off names, and below to get rid of the cut off score. To balance this, also would have removed a little off the left, so that they were not too centred. Would have resulted in a square photo, but that might have worked. The cut off areas, especially as they are bright, draw attention away from the players

Yeah, I agree. B&W far better for this. I find it funny some of teh comments below about cropping out the durex machine, that fopr me really makes it, another agonising decision for a young girl.......! Great. I'm really surprised this one was rejected, I far as I can see it appears that 1x prefers a story to a technically brilliant photo, this has such a story.....!

Interesting idea, although I find the person in the seats above the two players and his white shirt and sock rather distracting. Cropping much closer to the players in general might have been effective.
