I REALLY want to know the story here. The light is amazing as are the positions and expressions of all the subjects. I assume the mother is praying. The oldest daughter may be, too, or she may just be thinking and, as the title suggests, envisioning her future. The way her posture echoes her mother's but turned a bit and the fact that she is set away from both her mother and the group of younger children are very evocative. Wow.

I thought so, but my first view made me ask Whatsat? it looks like a piece of thrown rag or toy or thing, and then I felt the catness but couldn't shake off the thrownness, the thingness. (I make sense to me).
