Shade of beautyby LevTComment by nico_blue: nice 'cut-out' effect. but somehow the image doesnt seem 'finished' (I know its basic editing, lol) just can't put my finger on it. |

A Clockwork Orangeby LevTComment by NinjaMom: This was my favorite of the whole Clockwork Orange series of pictures. What is this movie anyway? Seems like there was tons of these pictures. |

hekobokehby LevTComment by LevT: Originally posted by skiprow: very interesting image. i think you are on the right track, and that this image has a lot of promise. with a subject that small, it really needs to knock the viewer's socks off when the image is this large; unfortunately, there are so many other elements in the image competing for attention that your single droplet starts to lose its strength. with such very strong bokeh all the way through, you could actually crop this image in half and have something that absolutely rocked. try it: hold your left hand up to cover the whole left half of the image and you'll see what i mean. anyways, this is good work. good luck! |
Thanks all for great comments! I agree completely with a number of comments here that the white and dark spots in the left part are quite bit distracting. However, regarding cropping the left part out of this shot, - I thought about it, but decided against it because I loved the gentle curve of that stem. After such a cropping, it would've been just a diagonal line which is kind of boring compositionally. Message edited by author 2005-01-17 03:02:55. |
