Yep, Rikki's right Lev. I copied this one and gave it a very gentle contrast curve in Curves. More depth immediately. It also de-emphasised the lower back of Irina's shirt, which is (pardon my impudence) hanging a little oddly, and emphasised her face and front side better. It did not appear to make the highlight-end contrast any harsher; it simply had the effect of giving more depth and drama to the lighting.

I agree, loose the shades. I'd like to see a bit stronger light from the single source. Too much of her face is in shadow.

I havbe no problem with your photographic technique, but your wife looks distinctly bored. This may reflect the person or it may not. Try to some more expression or interaction from her.

The single light source works well here Lev. I would lose the sunglasses though. It's a real distraction since it doesn't really add anything to the overall feel of the image.
