Mirageby LevTComment by NovaTiger: Awesome. Simply awesome. Very very good capture. That darn bench! I wanted to say the horizon was crooked, but then I saw that, no, it is a crooked bench. It really adds a lot to the image. |

Rainy day. Old Europe.by LevTComment by pacpinto: Nice job catching the riders, however, in order to get them sharp, you probably had to pan the camera, inducing a bit of blur on the remaining of the pic, where there are lots of interest points, like the cool archway on the right. |

Cathedrale de Lausanneby LevTComment by igoofry: Simply a beautiful image of a beautiful place. The lines are awesome. I think this is the third time I have looked at this image in the last 15 minutes. I'm not sure if it is the color or what, but the thumbnail certainly warrents a closer look to which one is rewarded with this image. Very nice. |

Cathedrale de Lausanneby LevTComment by Germaine: Weaker? I've been staring at both pictures for about ten minutes, and I guess you're right. I really liked the lines in the ceiling and the soaring feeling to that vaulted roof in the challenge picture. The challenge picture did sort of fizzle out at the end of the aisle (the altar?), in that there really wasn't much to see there except a shadowy figure.
To me, this picture is a lot more visually interesting, but you seem to be standing a lot closer to the door than you were to the altar, so we lose a lot of the feeling of depth that we got from the ceiling in the first picture. On the other hand, with that door frame pointing upwards, the pipe organ, and the stained glass window set into the ceiling vaults, you've given us a lot to look at, and the feeling I get is up, up, up which is what the builders intended in the first place. And that human figure which is so small, again by design of the builders, to remind us of our place in the scheme of things. |
