Date in BWby LevTComment by Melethia: She strikes me as very stoic, very reserved. He a bit less so. Both observations are based on their postures. I wonder what they're reading? I like the incongruity of the cakes and the cushions. They don't seem to go together at all. I do very much like this. |

Date in BWby LevTComment by agenkin: Not bad, idea-wise, the pictures of the cakes are like cartoon bubbles which show what each of the characters is thinking.
Photographically, I think that the shot is boring because most of the lines in the frame are either vertical or horizontal, and the plane of the wall and the two persons are parallel to the image plane. This gives a strong taste of an up-front shot, which ruins everything else for me. |

And the ship sails onby LevTComment by pineapple: Is that Eeyore too? The little toy makes the image come to life - and the hat. I wonder if the limited DOF limits too the impact. Hard for me to know without seeing the same shot with a larger DOF. As it is, I can barely make out the boat and might not have done so without your apt title. |

And the ship sails onby LevTComment by colorcarnival: this is lovely - looks like a hallmark card with some poem written inside. love the black and white tones. and eeyore is hanging out and waiting with her. a classic childhood moment captured in one frame. |

And the ship sails onby LevTComment by posthumous: subtleties are so important. my favorite thing about this photo is how the bar seems to be bending in her hat. This creates a real connection between girl and bars that I can feel. It shows that she is getting too close to them, pressing futilely against them. your composition gives us a teasing view of the world she's trying to get at. Eeyore is resigned to misery, as is his way. But he waits faithfully.
I wouldn't change a thing. |
