duh these voters

i hate to disagree, lesley, but i called this as soon as i saw it, and the voters simply followed the spirit of the challenge: The face you submit may not be something that is intended to be a face (that is, not a person, animal, insect, toy or anything else that has a "face").

this is a beautiful image, one that needs to be seen and appreciated. it just shouldn't have been entered in this challenge. better luck next time! just keep on shooting!

edit: added emphasis

Comment by Arcanist:
This shot is intriguing. I am challenged to wonder how the blurred grass and motorcycle are in motion while the mirrored image is in perfect stop motion. Is this really a candid of the cyclist or those on the side of the road behind? The colors are strong and work well with the border but the subjects seem too small to be of any significance to the concept of candid. There is a minor distraction on the Left Top that should be cloned out.

Technically, this is an over the top interest factor and while the idea of snapping a shot of someone from through a mirror would be candid, some of the challenge validity seems lost in the inability to see those who have been captured in any detail. I will be interested to see/read how this was done without multiple images.

Really like this shot. It may have benefited from selective desat, where only the mirror reflection is in colour and the rest is in bw or other tone, only because the yellow is so overpowering. But that doesn't keep me from voting this highly.

An interesting image for sure, but it received the score it deserved in light of the challenge requirements IMHO. Playing around with challenge interpretation is playing with fire: sometimes you get burned. Keep up the good work.

This is a stunning shot! Love the simple elegance of the composition! Great catchlight in the eyes. Just a hint of detail through the veil. Unfortunately it doesn't fit the challenge details...

Maybe I misread the challenge description, but I don't think this is a hidden face within nature that wasn't intended to be a face. Great shot those, I like the catch in the eyes.

Great picture, but I think it is supposed to be a "Waldo" type hidden face.
