I find the sign to be neither central enough nor off-centre enough, if you know what I mean.

Beautfil DoF and excellent crispness on the sign. It goes well with the lights in the background. Perhaps taking an inch off the right side to make it more centered (if you will) would have made for a better picture and reduced he amount of grey that you see. I think it would have drawn the eye more into the photo as well. Good job and good luck in this challenge. <7>

I like the alternate layering of warm and cool tones, all blending at the edge. This is a good example to show the relationship between abstract art and the "real world."

I really like how your composition pulls the eye to the left side. Nice nature perspective.

Nice picture but very dark. It adds a certain character to the photo. I like how the water and clouds draws your eyes thru the whole photo instead of just being one thing to look at like most photos. I'm not fussy on the leveling or clarity tho. Good luck and best wishes in 2005. <6>

I like how almost all the lines in this photo, including the shades of sky, shores and road all converge off to an imaginary point. Perhaps a touch too dark overall though, and I'd have cloned out a few bits and pieces like the telephone pole to the right.

Comment by Brad:
Great composition and subject matter. Lighting and detail are good, rich in color without being over-saturated, and good use of splitting the shot with the diagonals. ((8))

Very eeire, painterly rendering. There's an overall greenish hue that I find slightly off, and it's losing a hair too much detail to the left for my tastes. Just a whisper of dodging on the left, and a selection at the forward treeline to drop some green out of the BG would do wonders for me I think. Not much, just a little...
