Morro Bay sunsetby beafliesComment by Bear_Music: There's so much potential to this, but a lot of it's unrealized IMO. In particular, you could have made the foreground more luminous so the gull playes a stronger supporting role. The rock and fog are remarkable. I know the scene very well, I';ve spent a lot of time in Morro Bay. |

Morro Bay sunsetby beafliesComment by saracat: I have 2 bones to pick with this photo. 1) the sun and reflected light on the water are too bright. 2 The water around the seagull is too dark, which makes the bird and piling difficult to see. I do like the boat, and the clouds around the island (?) are really pretty. |

Morro Bay sunsetby beafliesComment by docurrie: When I firsted looked at this I thought the boat had caused some kind of environmental disaster. It appears that there was some kind of explosion and a big dark clump of smoke behind the ship. I still can't tell what that mound in the middle is. |
