Quite an image with great interests because of the diverse subject matter. The silhouttes all sing loudly and pleasantly. Bump.

There's so much potential to this, but a lot of it's unrealized IMO. In particular, you could have made the foreground more luminous so the gull playes a stronger supporting role. The rock and fog are remarkable. I know the scene very well, I';ve spent a lot of time in Morro Bay.

I have 2 bones to pick with this photo. 1) the sun and reflected light on the water are too bright. 2 The water around the seagull is too dark, which makes the bird and piling difficult to see. I do like the boat, and the clouds around the island (?) are really pretty.

nice lighting and colours two good subjects (bird & boat) but too much in the same shot for me Could you have moved to the left and got the bird or the boat on its own in that nice orange light? I dont like that huge mound

When I firsted looked at this I thought the boat had caused some kind of environmental disaster. It appears that there was some kind of explosion and a big dark clump of smoke behind the ship. I still can't tell what that mound in the middle is.

Excellent capture. The sun overpowers the subjects, the boat is almost lost in it and the bird fades into the shadows. 8
