St Andrews Parkby igoofryComment by strangeghost: You must have selected this shot knowing I was coming! How can I resist a moon?? Excellent job capturing a number of fascinating elements that aren't always easy to do in a single photo. The sky is a soft blue gradient, The moon looks exactly as your eye experiences it in a blue sky. The golden light on the trees and foreground grass is outstanding, and a sharp little bird in flight right through the center. Outstanding job. This picture does something that only a well captured photo can do - it provides a feast of options for the eye to roam too and fro. Very nicely done! |

grotto falls1by igoofryComment by SJCarter: The exposure length really does transform the water to light - very cool effect. I like this shot a lot too. Well done. |

Dodd Creekby igoofryComment by SJCarter: Beautiful composition and I love the colors of the pool at the bottom. The highlights are a bit strong, but not overwhelming. Very nice capture. |

Yellow on Purpleby igoofryComment by SJCarter: Very natural appearing and beautiful colors. Nice crisp focus & DOF. I like the height you got in the crop too. Good job.
EDIT: You might be able to get even more "pop" out of this shot with a little more curves/levels adjustment and/or some selective burning/dodging around the main subjects. Just a thought... Message edited by author 2006-06-17 14:37:25. |

Gee Creek twin fallsby igoofryComment by crystalline: I think the photo is GORGEOUS!. I agree that the rock in the forground gives it the perfect depth. I disagree that the highlights in the water are too bright. Anyone that has shot time exposure knows that the stong highlights are next to impossible to avoid. I agree that a model on the rock to the right would be the perfect topping one the cake. I would purchase that photo in a heartbeat. PS..if your willing to share editing details I'm all ears. |

Chapel Reflection edited.jpgby igoofryComment by Rikki: Now this is such an improvement Jeff! I am glad that you got out of your comfort zone and tried something different. There is a thin line for post processing. Over do it and it looks bad. Do it enough, and you get this.
Much better than the entry ;) Great job! |

Sunburst Shadowby igoofryComment by albc28: There isn't much focus on a shadow here. From a technical aspect, I think it would have been better if you had the plant up front. in the top left corner there is a green plant blocking part of it and at the bottom center there is dead area in font of it. Those are sort of distracting from the photo. |
