Commanding situation, enclosed by cheese, breathing its air, the chill and damp (or dry, what do I know) feel. The stone wall, the aura of age. The aroma seems almost tangible, thick and insistent. Also, the depth of field suits the scene, being narrow and the cheeses fading away, an implication of abundance. When you took the picture did you request, "say cheeeeze." ? Rises hardily to the challenge.
Personal second favorite of the challenge.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! I'm surprised this wasn't punished more for being a bit too soft - my mistake on the day. I hadn't expected much but it seems to have resonated. I've added some notes about flares to the image details in case anyone's interested :)
