I like this photograph, you have great contrast and detail, just not much of it. There just doesn't seem to be enough there to get that coveted second, deeper look. Maybe get closer to the subject or get more of these stems in the photo. I definately don't think it is uninteresting as you suggest.

The colors on this one are wonderful. A little more cropping from the top to get rid of the shadow that is there would add to the composition. I'm not sure if I would like it a little brighter, but maybe in the water and sky, which would serve as a great contrast to the silouette.

LOVE this shot!!! I was just going to ask if she was barrel racing but then I read your description. Love the clarity, the focus on both of their faces. I can just hear her encouraging the horse to go faster and harder. You get a real sense of the speed as well with the hair and mane flowing.. (i used to barrel race my mare is too old now)

this is amazing, and imo perfect! great tone and when you see it in thumbnail view it just draws you in to look at it. if the 640 view is this good the full size must be spectacular.
