Taxiby rkligmanComment by Karalew: I love the way the background is black and white, to make the "taxi" stand out even more. |

Taxiby rkligmanComment by Rankles: I don't like the selective desat here, it's being overdone. Save it to bring attention to a small detail in a B&W scene, not just to draw the eye. The background blur looks poorly edited also, leading me to believe there was none on the original. Ah well, nice idea. I like the contrast between the ultra modern woman and the old fashioned bike. |

The Crossingby rkligmanComment by snackwells: Well exposed, focused well. Theme connection somewhat weak...nothing here to really indicate border patrol. |

The Crossingby rkligmanComment by Skip: while i like all the colors in this image, i'm having a hard time finding a subject that really stands out as authority. the composition doesn't really zero in on any one specific thing. maybe if you had swung your camera around and focused in on the guard and the cab driver? |

Stop or Go?by rkligmanComment by e301: Missing amber? Seems odd to have chosen this set of lights, as that unusual feature, for me, detracts fro the strong sense of a deserted street - the idea of time continuing to pass at night is very strong. The light trails from the car(s) are almost unnoticeable, as they meet the line of the pavement so closely. I wonder if there's enough impact to catch the eye of the rapid voter? |
