Would work better for me if the block was about the same size as the clothes pin and woody. The woody seems a little dark too.

Like the stocky woody, like the idea that he has been whittled down from the block of wood. It would have worked better if the the peg was bigger than the woody. Lighting good, image is a little soft over all. Nice work!

I like the concept. Without the title, I wouldn't have got it. However, connection or not, it's still a technically sound image. My thoughts on this echo the other commenters with respect to spots and egg position, but I also wondered if a different perspective may have lifted this? Maybe level with the egg rather than a downward point of view? Just a thought :)

first comment on "outtake"... I've not seen many entries with such an extreme vertical crop place well on DPC (doesn't mean there haven't been any)
second, wig, manequine (sp?), pumpkin...some lovely voter(s) would have comment 3 objects???
