Nice lines and colors. Only a small portion of the image is bright and sharp, leaving an overall impression of softness, darkness, and lack of detail. More DOF and more even illumination would help.

Great position in the frame and your use of DOF is really good. I bet it wasn't easy to expose for this shot with whites on the guys uniform! I think I would have to agree with Rina that because of all the colour in the background even with your shallow DOF it is still a little distracting. Never the less, I think this is a nice image....and at least you let the guy have both his hands this time ;o)

Great idea. I laughed when I saw this. The only thing that seemed out of balance to me was that we tend to think of evolving from small to large, so if the block had been smaller than the clothspin, it would have felt more balanced to me.
