Survived the First Snowby jfwolpertComment by aimeethetoo: The background on this image rocks! I love the color and bokeh - very nice! I might have tried using selective colors to bring out the whites in the back even more (who knows) - but it's awesome! I think the poor score has nothing to do with the fine bokeh you captured but rather with the flower in the foreground. As others have said, it is a bit washed out and could benefit from a tighter focus. I think you could crop 1.5 to 2 inches off the right and make the flower seem more a part of the image too. The color of the flower is beautiful against the gorgeous greens of the back. |

Before the Gameby jfwolpertComment by aimeethetoo: Captured at the perfect moment! I imagine you didn't have the luxury of 10-takes on this one! Cool sky - I might have brightened it up a bit and made it even more contrasty & cloned out the sensor dust. I'm afraid I have to agree with those who don't like the sign in the shot - the composition would be more pleasing IMO croped so that the crowd was leveled up along the bottom and the sign was gone. Too bad a photo doesn't allow you to hear the incredible sound of these jets! |

Diehard Fanby jfwolpertComment by aimeethetoo: This is an entertaining colorful character! Overall a decent and interesting shot too. Love the bokeh of the crowd. IMO perhaps a perspective where we could see a little more of his face might have been nice and a sharper focus on the fan would improve the image. These are just guesses on my part and I have no idea what kind of limitations you were dealing with in the field. |

Survived the First Snowby jfwolpertComment by msdoubletrouble: Nice job on the complementary colors and the vivid hues. Perhaps it would help to cut/paste a humingbird drinking from the tumpet (lol, joking) However, the DPC 'wow' factor isn't there I spose for the voters. Perhaps a florist fake bumble bee placed in trumpet? lol |

Before the Gameby jfwolpertComment by msdoubletrouble: I like couple of cropped versions of this. with just the planes and metal work without the BL sign; with everything as is and fans cropped out. However, considering how difficult it is to get just the right timing I'm very appreciative of your capture. Nice job :-) |

Diehard Fanby jfwolpertComment by msdoubletrouble: I LIKE this image. Challenge did not say "don't do a portrait of a sports fan". Seems to be ANOTHER challenge that some voters took different take on requirements...sigh. Your works improving daily. You've submitted another great image here. |
