Is this the same fella as the other shot? No matter, it's a great capture, I like this one a lot more. Sometimes closest isn't best (as I've learned in my time on this site) and the addition of the chute really makes this shot. The pilot could maybe do with sharpening up, but it's still a 10. Well done.

Nice sharp picture, i think the evenness of the sky colour acts as a great background. Nicely cropped too.

Liked the colors so much because it made me feel like a bee. Will revisit Rockwell periodically to re-appraise. BTW, not everybody read that thread so when you're using his terminology in other threads, some people may feel taken aback, lol.

Yeah the 70-200mm is good but the magnification factor is only 0.25x or something. It's good for one purpose: bringing objects closer, but compared with a 100mm macro lens, there is no comparison on magnification because you can go a lot closer than the zoom.... And i am less than 1 meter away when i shot this -- the 70-200mm lens i believe require 1.3 meters to focus.... so that wasn't option either. I'll post the shot later -- you'd be surprised just how un-macro this shot is!

Yes Journey, i have become more of a whore lately :)

(Channel mixer, just make sure ALL colors adds to 100%... so you can increase RED in red channel by say, 140%, but make sure to subject -20%/-20% on the other colors)

BTW i was finally able to vote for you Gordon on the photo contest :) hope you get to the top three!

Looks fun but must be noisy. Good view of the sail. It would have been really magnificant if the suspension lines were not so faint / fuzzy.
