Dancing Softlyby paganiniComment by Imagineer: This is quite a disjointed composition (and not overtly soft), although the subject is quite warming. The scene is quite chaotic which is not aided by a tilted horizon and cropped birds on the right.
I'd have made this portrait, straightened it up, cropped a little on the left and just left of the third bird from the right, making the squabbling birds more of a focal point. There's a good test to see how relevant the peripheral sections of your shots are. Try hiding the main feature and see if they actually assist the shot in any way. If not then you probably don't need them. |

Dancing Softlyby paganiniComment by moodville: The sun seems to dominate this a little too much to the point I find myself looking at that rather than the birds. The fact that you have three of the birds cropped out also leaves me feeling a little incomplete. And the horizon is also a little tilted. I do like the glow in the wings of the birds on the right - the warm color is great. |

Dancing Softlyby paganiniComment by Natator: Sensational shot. I am guessing that the specs are food being thrown, which are a little distracting but no way to remove without spot editing and they certainly don't spoil it. Nice work. |

Dreams of Freedomby paganiniComment by Imagineer: That is so sad and I'm giving it 10 for your brave social comment. He looks pitiful and I share the sentiment. I hate the human race sometimes... |

Riverwalk and Downtown San Antonioby paganiniComment by Neuferland: Upon first glance and score run I score this one very low and upon coming back and looking again I think I know why. The dark center of the shot where the row of buildings run up was too much darkness for me along with the upper right corner. But now that I've come back and looked again I see it really adds to the shot and helps with the overall balance and concept. A bit more sharpness would have scored you much higher with me but for now the score will go up at least 3 points. |
