I gave this an 8 and remember looking at the bird and assuming you either got lucky and/or was patient enough for one to 'enter stage', on reading your notes seems I was right. Why someone would think you pasted it in is shallow. Really nit-picking, main thing that held it back for me was the capture of the feel of the water - 'if only' more detail and texture... but very difficult.

WOW, very good cloud. I liker the bird, the rays. I personally think the black part in bottom is taking points away from the excellent image otherwise.
