At first read of your post I was wondering why you hadn't just walked around the ship. Now I see... bit of a tide there, eh? The incoming waves and standing water add a great deal to the shot. In a way I wish the sand had been wetter for my shot, but I didn't have the bother of running from the waves either. The sky was a nice compensation for your troubles at least. The swirls even lined up to add to your composition.

Ok. So I have a very happy score going in this challenge -- so I thought I'd have some fun and guess which photos were going to be my greatest competition. There are 6 photos that worry me greatly. And this is one! The lighting is so beautiful on this. Wonderful capture! I'm not voting in this competition, but this would have been a 9. Good luck!!
