My, what a big mouth you have...by RitaDComment by Bear_Music: One of my three 10's. I'm absolutely amazed this didn't ribbon, though of course you did very well with it :-) But still, this is so utterly, triumphantly, outrageously in-your-face, giving us more knowledge, in a single image, of the details of pelican dining than we've ever dreamed of having.
HOW could this have been improved? It's essentially flawless, the trans-luminance of the sac is stunningly effective, the jumping anchovies are so alive...
(And yes, they *are* anchovies, in case you happened to have been wondering) |

My, what a big mouth you have...by RitaDComment by MaryO: That's amazing! Great timing to catch those poor fish still struggling and the water splashing. I'd dodge a bit of catchlight in the pelican's eyes so they don't look so much like black holes, lighten up the midtones a tad and dodge the face a little to bring out more detail. But I'm in awe of your timing! |
