First Breathby shamelComment by notonline: Ok the only way for me to get rid of this photo is to vote on it even tho it's making me sick to look at it. So... from the corner of my eye it has good color and clarity and great composition altho the subject is not for the faint hearted. I am not fussy on the chosen DOF as te bakground is a little OOF. Well done and keep up the good work in 2005. |

First Breathby shamelComment by rmtm333: Congratulations...We are expecting our second in the next few weeks and I hope to capture a similar image. The focus seems is a bit off on the little one, but it is still a great capture of an incredible moment. |

The Great Escapeby shamelComment by shamel: Thanks for all of your comments. I actually dislike toy pictures myself but as I set this up in my head it kinda made me laugh thinking about it. The entire shoot took about 2 hours because I continued shooting from various angles and with more and less toys in the picture. I wanted to get a shot more from Ground level but when I would get the shot from that perspective it would make all the toys look like they were mixed together and the picture was very busy and it was a totally different effect that didnt show what I was trying to portray. I couldnt get the lighting correct either because the there are alot of windows in the playroom and outside was cloudy and then sunny and it became frustrating trying to deal with so I just dialed in 1600 Iso and waited for a cloud to cover the sun. Over all I still am not crazy about the shot but it does make me LAUGH! |

First Breathby shamelComment by maxj: studio setup? (o man am i funny...sorry....). But seriously, i not only like how the doctor is presenting the baby to you, but also, the lighting is great, focusing directly on the baby. Maybe a tighter crop around the baby and the doc?
congratulations BTW...or to whomever our newfound parents are.
