First impressions: A very nice picture that has been well taken by someone who clearly knows how to use their camera to get the best result out of it. The title you gave the photograph seems oddly fitting and slightly sinister, which brings the viewer further into the image.

I'll start with the compilation and elements seen in this picture before I go into anything technical. You seemed to pick a perfect time of day to take this photograph with the fewest people and you've done a really good job at keeping the horizon level, giving a perfect reflection of the buildings. There isn't a lot to be improved.

As for the technical elements, you've certainly got to grips with using the settings on your camera to give a nice photo. The depth of field is perfect keeping everything in focus and there are minimal unwanted reflections and shadows. Again, not much to be said, the picture is technically sound.

It's hard to see why this photo didn't go much further really. I think that perhaps a slightly more relevant subject to the challenge might have helped and possibly a little more colour on the image as it seems a little dry. Possibly increasing some of the contrast would have brought out the red of the building on the left, and the blue of the sky.

Overall, this is a great photograph that you should be proud of. You appear to have mastered landscapes and macro shots judging from your past competition entries and that alone is difficult.

Unlucky about a slightly lower than expected rating and Good Luck for any future competitions!

Nice silhouette and good colour. Maybe looking a little grainy (I get this on some of my dark shots too. Is that a digital thing or is there a way of stopping it?). Good pic though...

Like the humor in your title, rare to see a scene so bereft of humankind.
