The Eccentric.by docpjvComment by Jinjit: This picture started an entire forum thread about candid shots, by stating that this is the best.
Yeah, I can certainly agree. This is one GREAT picture!
Besides the great details and light and perfet DOF, this photo makes me so curious about the man I am looking at. He makes me want to talk to him, to understand what's in his head.
Pure art. You know how to do it!

The Puppeteer's Joyby docpjvComment by Jinjit: I can't believe I never commented on this one!
Ok, so my favorite was another one of this series, but this is just GOOD! plain and simple.
Again, your amazing way to convey erotics and sexuality.
Peter, I just love the way you see things. |

Erotic Dreamsby docpjvComment by Jinjit: How strange, I was sure I left a comment on this one and added it to my favorites, a loooooong time ago.
But I now see that I didn't.
I love the shallow DOF and all the technicalities, but I love the idea even more, and I love the erotic feel this photo gives, without being rude or vulgar.
I just love the way you see erotices and convey it in your pictures. |

We have never been to the Moon.by docpjvComment by dahkota: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Beautiful image of the moon. I would agree that there is some apparent color noise on the moon. I would suggest desaturation to get rid of it - the image is almost black and white anyway.
The composition works - its at rule of thirds which many people prefer. The moon itself is a little soft but I would think noise and resizing did most of that.
I think the main reason this did not score well in the challenge is that it 'kind of' fit the challenge but it didn't do it well enough for the voters.
Please feel free to PM with any questions or comments!

Sympathy...by docpjvComment by Jinjit: One of the more emotive cards of the challenge!
There are so many different meanings to this picture.
I love the quality of the photograph, as the fron flower is in perfect focus and the back looks more like a painting. (and I always love shallow DOF shots)
But what's making it so unique IMO is the colors. The bright colors of the front flower bursting through the gray...
I hope you make this one available for prints, incase I need a sympathy card. |

Sympathy...by docpjvComment by mawear: Pretty picture, and the broken flower in the background gives a nice sense of loss. |
