This doesn't really say 'weathered' to me as much as perhaps a closeup of the rusty spring would have.

Also, seeing the back side of the 'horse' instead of his eye is not as pleasing to me. Perhaps from a different angle?

Not enough subject to focus on for a study & yet too much subject to be abstract. Focus seems soft, too. Perhaps the shadows on the floor would have made a better subject? I'm pretty much a newbie here, though, so take my comments with a grain of salt - just 'cause I'm being critical doesn't mean I think MY stuff is doing any better! Good luck!

Too far away for great impact. Someone once said that 90% of all photographs would be improved simply by getting closer. This is a great example of that!
