What a great idea! Would have been perfect if the DOF was broader to keep the squares' edges sharp. Nice effect in the drop!

Yes.. definitely cliche and I'm getting sick of seeing all the damned water droplets and splashes and such. I really hope this is the end of splashes. I give you 9 because you got cliches right.
