Perhaps a lower angle could have captured the tree highlighted against the dark sky. Clouds detract IMO.

Fortunately I lingered beyond my initial impression of oh, it's just a guy taking a selfie. I noticed his care, exactitude and concentration, and the fine detail of the foreground. But what then became apparent is the beauty of the out of focus background. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but I felt that the man was oblivious (not really fair because I have only this instant to analyze, but that's what it is) to the beauty around him in his self-centric pursuit of his own image. So now I more fully appreciate your fine effort.
