An honest representaion with very good framing and head placement. The expression is casual and the look very sincere with the half twisted smile which adds an immediate deeper meaning to the character study. Cool. Bumping up. Returning for final bump.

Bill Gates, yes? Well, even if you're not, this is a very instructive portrait. First because the crop gives it an intimacy that it would not have if your whole head was in the shot. And second because of the effective use of limited depth of field. Great all-round photographic skills, employed with subtlety and confidence. 8.

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image to try to figure out what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.

excellent work. the focus, lighting, expression, and composition all come together to make this image. the eyes looking over the glasses are perfect--they go hand in hand with the hint of a grin. you look like you were actually having fun doing this. very well executed, i hope this does well for you.
