Comment by Kathyc:
Doesn't really have anything to focus on. Perhaps two or three larger shells placed in areas to enhance composition elements would provide more interest and some contrast.

Why, you ask?!? How could we exercise compassion otherwise? It is not only to be thankful, but to have the priviledge to give or do something else for the poor (love). Didn't you feel compeled to do something other than taking this great picture?

Comment by gruvin:
Hmmm. Some perpective might have been nice here to give the shadows more "meaning." It can be hard to capture shells on a beach in sunlight without over-exposing highly reflective shiny surfaces. There is little of that here though - well done.

If the beer were open, you wouldn't care. The only problem I have with this picture is the background. It's a normal room and therefore, it is very busy and slightly distracting from the subject.

Great picture. I just came back from Thailand today and one of the reasons I stayed away from Bangkok is all the poverty on the streets. This picture makes me thankful for what I have.

This doesn't hold my interest. The idea is good, but I would score it higher if I could see more of the context of the shot and if it were all in sharp focus. That may not have been your intent, but it's my opinion.

Comment by Imagineer:
Challenge link: weak/medium.

Image critique: dull, uninteresting snapshot with a little humour (although it may seem like I don't have any - but while I mean no offence, this is a challenge and I'm commenting on pics from a creative photography point of view!). It's well composed there appears to be little creative input in the shot.

Out-of-challenge appeal: none.
