Beach Erosionby Mark of SRQComment by mirdonamy: I don't really see your title, as I am used to beaches like this that aren't in danger of erosion, but perhaps your area is not this shallow... i'll give you that. :) I like the sepia, but I would prefer more dark tones and contrast. I also think the buildings are a little to tight to the edge (top left) and could use more sky above them. I like the detail in the water. |

June in B&Wby Mark of SRQComment by SDW: Well composed, good use of thirds. I like the DOF and the soft lighting. I like the B&W look with this picture if make you focus on the subject more than it would if it was in color. Good job! |

One Of Many. Why? by Mark of SRQComment by Seraph: I think as photographers we're basically takers. We take a photo of this, snap a picture of that. The experience is pretty voyeuristic. But we do give something back at some level; We shed light, educate, bear witness. And whenever subjects of poverty, suffering, Death and war are concerned, the price we pay can be quite high; guilt is but the tip of the iceberg. |

Septemberby Mark of SRQComment by Kylie: Very nice as a background, but needs a bit more of a focal point in my opinion. I find myself taking similar picutures of rocks that are pleasing to look at, but don't always work as well as a static image. |
