In the begining of the Egyptian historyby hossamComment by Shannon: I like the composition though the foreground is a bit overexposed in my opinion the sky and the pyramid could also use a bit more contrast, but that is just my opinion and I am far from an expert, also I think the shot would be better without the car. |

In the begining of the Egyptian historyby hossamComment by Kavey: In the beginning of Egyptian history there were cars? Whilst I appreciate that it's not easy to find a viewpoint at a heavily visited monument like this that does not include signs of modern civilsation, this is far too blatant to really allow this image to work as a representation of early Egyptian history. PS this style of pyramid is not from the beginnings of the Egyptian civilisation anyway but someway through it's long existence. |

In the begining of the Egyptian historyby hossamComment by Azrifel: To my knowledge Pyramid building is not something that was done in the beginning of the Egyptian history, but I would say it is the first skyscraper. :)
The photo is a bit bright and lacks contrast (apart from the car). Some contrast tweaking or preferably shooting it earlier or later in the day (longer shadows, more diffuse soft warm light, darker sky) might help with that. Now it is the car that creates the contrast and if you are talking about this pyramid's history the car is totally out of place.
The pyramid of Djoser or Snefru would be good subjects as well, those two "failures" are the beginning of pyramid design. Most interesting stuff.
Good luck. |
