I think this would work better at a bigger size. As it is, I can't tell what these things are that are hanging off your shoulders, and it distracts. I also think to convey your idea of a swan song, of walking away for the final time, you should be further down the road. By being at the start of the road, it seems more like you're at the start of your journey. I gave you a 6 because it's a well executed, good looking photograph with a good composition. The reasons above relate to why I didn't score it higher.

Great symbolism here, very much supported by the excellent composition. The colors seem slightly over-saturated, but still believable. I want to feel sorrow, but the bright vibrant colors are not letting me.
