Amazing how a shot like this let's you examine an otherwise fleeting moment. Very powerful - the image is loaded with energy and compels you to think hard about the range of human emotion. It's an emotional macro of sorts.

Subject matter aside, this was technically well done but not flawless, IMHO. The V of her shirt appears to be the point of sharpest focus & I would have preferred it to have been her mouth or eyes. 'Course, it might be motion blur I'm seeing, but whether it's a shutter too slow or a dof too shallow, the mark was missed ever so slightly. Lighting is very nice, though I personally might have swapped key & fill positions.

That's just nitpicking though - it's a great image & well worthy of a 'Best of.." gallery! << 10 >>
